Hospice at Home – Health Care Assistant
St Barnabas House Hospice provides specialist palliative care to adults across Arun, Adur and Worthing through a range of services including in-patient care, day care and community care.
Full-time 37.5 hours per week, or part-time considered.
As a Hospice at Home Health Care Assistant you will have the opportunity to make a significant difference to people with end of life care needs in their own homes.
With a minimum NVQ level 3 qualification or equivalent, you will be able and willing to work independently whilst remaining part of the Hospice at Home Team. You will be flexible regarding hours of work and have a driving licence as you will be working across the whole of the local area.
You will be able to offer a high level of practical care and support to patients, their carers and families in your day to day visits.
A demonstrable insight into palliative care is ideal and a sensitive communication style is essential.
An enhanced DBS will be sought, if you are successful in this role.
