Role: Manufacturing Resource Planner - MRP
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum + pension + private health + life assurance + 25 days’ holiday + bank holidays
Hours: Days, Monday to Friday
Location: Commutable from Crawley, Horsham, East Grinstead, Redhill, Croydon, Brighton and surrounding areas

A global manufacturing and leading company are looking for a Manufacturing Resource Planner to join their highly successful and growing team. The role has plenty of scope to develop, increase your responsibilities and take on higher profile roles in the future, therefore would probably suit someone with aspirations, although anyone with relevant experience would be considered.
Responsibilities
During your first 1 to 3 months you will be put through a thorough training on-site to gain knowledge of their process and product range, preparing you for your Manufacturing Resource Planner role.
Your core responsibilities, however not limited to, are;
•Responsible for co-ordination of specialised equipment systems from design to dispatch from a purchasing view point. Pre-ordering assemblies/components as advised by the design team. Liaising with suppliers to expedite/delay deliveries to track dispatch schedule. Liaising with the local packaging companies to procure special packaging.
•Responsibility for house-keeping activities for inventory item cards – correct prices, lead times, min and max re-order levels, blocked/obsolete items, descriptor lines. Regularly liaise with engineering staff to keep abreast of production development and the effect on current product lines.
•Liaising with relevant suppliers using own initiative and reporting any potential issues to other team members and/or the Engineering Director, to ensure that widgets are received within acceptable lead times, conforming to the necessary quality standards, correctly labelled, and within management agreed price levels, and payment terms.
• Running reports from our MRP system to establish if any deliveries are overdue and progressing these with the supplier before these affect our manufacturing operations.
• Liaising with production personnel so that on receipt urgent components are processed promptly and are made available to the correct staff without delay.
• Reporting issues with supplier delivery performance to the Engineering Director so that corrective action can be taken.
• Responsible for being the point of contact for the spares department. Responsibility includes generating and issuing production orders relating to spares requirements for manufacturing. Expedite the shortages relating to these orders.
• Responsibility for checking the order acknowledgements and liaising with the Supply Chain Coordinator to communicate priorities to fulfil production and stock holding requirements.
• Assist with expediting deliveries from suppliers to subcontractors. Posting consumptions on Navision in a timely manner. Ensure stock levels are within the agreed limits to ensure availability and avoid overstocking.
Requirements
• Degree qualified in a relevant field such as Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, Transport OR Logistics etc.
• 2+ years experience of running a SAP / MRP OR SAP system
• Accurate with a keen eye for detail
• Ability to analyse and problem solve
• Knowledge of Excel spreadsheets – basic to intermediate level
• Good communication skills (both verbal and written) liaising with various departments and suppliers
