My client is a world leader in the manufacture and integration of cutting-edge defence and security systems for military, government and civil customers. Due to further growth and new projects, the company are currently looking for a Research and Development Systems Engineer to ensure that we can provide our customers with UK developed, low risk, system solutions meeting their present and future needs using next generation technologies.

As a Systems Engineer, you will be working in a team who utilise a wide range of sources to create and demonstrate cutting edge solutions including: internal innovative ideas from employees, innovation from external SME's and advanced thinking and concepts from a wide base of academic partners.

Your main responsibilities as a Systems Engineer will involve:
• Requirements definition, analysis and verification
• Developing and implementing the Systems architecture and design
• Modelling and simulation
• Rapid prototyping
• Integration and problem solving
• Validation and certification
• Provide technical innovation and / or technical leadership

To be suitable for the Research and Development Systems Engineer role you will need a proven and relevant experience in Systems Engineering, preferably a broad Systems Engineering development lifecycle experience along with good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
