We are Chailey Heritage Foundation, a pioneering UK charity which educates and cares for children and young adults with complex neurological disabilities. We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Community & Events Fundraiser to join our small team.

We are seeking someone that has the passion and drive to make a real difference to our community and events profile. You will inspire and motivate individuals and groups to support Chailey Heritage Foundation and in turn will develop a strong community of fundraising supporters.

In recent years, the Foundation has been very successful in raising its profile and increased voluntary income through a targeted programme of events such as, Focus 10K run, Brighton marathon, summer balls, car shows and much more.

This role will be key to ensuring that we continue to raise vital funds that go directly to improving the prospects and well-being of our young people.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • To build and manage a dynamic programme of events, researching new events and challenges in the community
  • Manage relationships with a number of community groups such as schools, clubs, rotary, Masons etc.
  • Provide exciting and captivating talks and presentations to new supporters in the community
  • Attend a variety of events and challenges to promote the charity
  • Manage a team of volunteers to support at events
  • Work with the Marketing team in promoting the fundraising activities for the charity

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to provide inspiring talks and presentations to a variety of groups. We are looking for those with flexibility to work at events outside normal office hours, which includes working evenings and weekends on a regular basis

We are offering an attractive salary starting at £24,628 rising to £27,323

Chailey Heritage Foundation is recognised as one of the UK’s leading charity centres for children and young adults with neurological motor impairment such as Cerebral Palsy, and we have a national reputation for our work in supporting young people’s communication and developing independence through powered mobility.

An outstanding special school, residential homes for children and young adults and range of day services for young adults are based on this site, which is shared with Chailey Clinical. The site includes a large hydrotherapy pool, riding facilities and a small farm as well a grade 2 listed chapel and early in 2018 a £3.1m building project will begin to create an exciting new facility for the, whole Foundation - the Dream Centre.
