Job Description
Job Title: General Machinist
Reports To: Team Manager CU
What is the purpose of the job?
* To select and produce pumps and gearboxes to specification, according to current processes and procedures, in order to meet production schedules.
* To operate manual machines and CNC machines/machining centres.
* To consistently produce quality components according to current processes and procedures, in order to meet production schedules.
* To contribute to on-going improvement of Company operations.
Key tasks for position holder:
1. Quality machining: To produce components within required specification following the relevant processes and standard operating procedures.
2. Quality assembly: To build pumps in a timely manner to within specification following the relevant pump build processes and standard operating procedures.
3. Non- Conforming items: To identify non-conformance items and to follow the Non-Conformance Process.
4. Improvements: To identify quality improvement opportunities, and to contribute to their implementation where appropriate.
5. Planning: To schedule work priorities to meet production requirements in a timely manner.
6. Teamwork: To liaise with the team to organise work in a way that maximises quality and efficiency.
7. Health & Safety: To follow Company Health & Safety procedures and to take action to remove potentially unsafe working practices.

Shift Premium: 25%
Hours of work: 6:00am - 2:00pm TBC
2:00pm -10:00pm TBC
Holiday: 33days per annum
Pension: Group Personal Pension Plan
Company sick pay: After qualifying periods
On site subsidised restaurant
Salary: £25990.00 +25%
