Job Title: Functional Skills Tutor

Location: South East - Candidates must be flexible with travel throughout Kent, Guildford and Brighton
 
Salary: £23,000 - £30,000 (Pro-Rata) – Dependent on qualifications & experience
 
Package includes; Expenses, Excellent holiday entitlement, Pension + much more
 
Type: Part-Time 19 hours week - permanent, with the possibility to increase hours.

*Full time opportunity available but will encompass a larger geographical area - to be discussed with your Recruiter*

Duties:

• Delivering Functional Skills (Maths, English and ICT) up to level 2, to learners in the workplace, who are working towards Apprenticeships or standalone training.
• Identify any barriers to learning and plan effective training based on individual learner needs.
• Providing one to one and group support in order for them to progress through their Functional Skills qualifications.
• Identify learner's strengths and weakness' through initial assessment and support them accordingly.
• Provide progress feedback to learners and provide support to ensure they meet their set goal / target.
• Ensure each learner's progression is recorded efficiently.

Essential Criteria:

• Must hold recognised teaching qualification (PTLLS/AET or equivalent).
• Experience of delivering Functional Skills (Maths, English and ICT) qualifications up to level 2.
• Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively.
• Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people
• Full, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle.
• Must be flexible with travel.
