Build and Deployment Engineer, .net, C#

Build & Deployment Engineer required by vibrant and ground-breaking MS Software House based in the heart of Brighton. This role will see you reporting into the Deployment Manager and being responsible for the software delivery pipeline taking software projects to our international client base.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Working closely with the Build and Deployment Manager and wider Platform team to drive the technical strategy
  • Supporting, maintaining & enhancing internal build & deployment tooling including: TeamCity, Nuget Feeds, Octopus Deploy and Internal Chatbot
  • You will be encouraged to participate in pair-programming and test-driven development
  • Design and develop sustainable solutions in line with best practice, relevant standards and technological developments
  • Ensure build infrastructure is functioning effectively and efficiently
  • Liaise with various teams, assisting on build issues, configuration and deployment of artefacts
  • Proactively assess build infrastructure requirements based on monitoring
  • Continuously identifying and evangelizing new tools, ideas and processes
  • Collaborate with the Development and Operations teams to develop and implement automated build, deployment, and test pipelines for new products
  • Design and implement an automated build process for software projects, striving to make the compilation, testing, and packaging process as automatic and fool proof as possible


Key Requirements:
  • BSc in Computer Science or similar
  • Excellent software development skills (C#)
  • Experience of continuous integration, continuous deployment and automated integration testing
  • Ability to operate independently within defined methodologies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills
  • Technical writing skills
