Thanks to continued success and growth we are now looking for a number of Third Party Claims Managers working across our Technical Claims division, managing either Bodily Injury teams, Credit Hire teams or Third Party Property Damage teams. Fantastic opportunities which would be of interest to skilled operational leaders with market knowledge of Credit Hire, Bodily Injury and Third Party Property Damage. These roles report into the Technical Claims Director and would suit an experienced Claims Operations Manager, Contact Centre Leader, or Claims Manager looking for a new challenge in a fast paced, dynamic business in our Bexhill office (potential for occasional travel to Leicester and some agile working, dependent on role).
Third Party Claims Manager positions are responsible for leading teams of claims handlers managing Credit Hire, Bodily Injury and Property Damage claims. Responsibilities will include development and implementation of strategies to mitigate claims spend, engaging with the relevant markets to develop bespoke strategies to combat claims inflation and poor behaviours seen in this segment. Third Party Claims Managers will be commercially astute individuals that understand the drivers of cost and are able to build and develop the capability of their teams, with experience of managing a portfolio of claims cases.
Your remit will include the following:
· Leading either the Credit Hire, Bodily Injury, or Third Party Property Damage teams · Developing technical and operational capability to deliver operational excellence · Leading strategies across all Credit Hire, Bodily Injury, or Third Party Property Damage claims, including those associated to Personal Injury claims · Identifying technical skills and knowledge gaps and supporting the development and delivery of required training · Engaging with legal suppliers to provide specialist subject matter training to Colleagues · Developing appropriate litigation strategies to deliver the strategy · Creating and managing a robust technical referral process that both mitigates risk through use of a risk based approach but empowers colleagues to make decisions within their authorities in the relevant areas · Developing counter measures to negative market behaviours and trends and ensure the Technical operation is briefed and prepared, actively engaging with Panel lawyers and experts and providing valuable insight to the claims teams · Ensuring all colleagues are briefed on market updates and strategies put in place · Being seen by the wider group as the go-to contact for claims technical issues · Coordinating market engagement including representation on industry bodies and engagement
