Events Assistant & Administrator 

37.5 hours per week

£18,060 - £19,370 depending on experience

Based at our Eastbourne office, with the flexibility to work regularly from St Barnabas House, Worthing.

St Barnabas Hospices offers specialist palliative care through two hospices:

St Barnabas House provides palliative care to adults in the Worthing, Adur, Arun and Henfield areas through a range of services, including In-patient Care, Day Hospice and Community Care. Chestnut Tree House is the children's hospice reaching across Sussex and South East Hampshire. Providing care and support for children/young people and their families with life-shortening conditions.

Our fundraising event portfolio is growing, and so too is our need for talented, fundraising challenge event professionals. With 2019 shaping up to be our most exciting and challenging year to date, we are looking to recruit an Event Assistant & Administrator to work within our successful team.

You will support the project management, marketing, delivery and administration of a range of events including our new Wonder Walk, overseas treks, running events, Snowman Ball and other mass participation and third party challenge events.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in fundraising events and project management. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and administration skills. You will love giving excellent customer service, and talking to our donors on the phone. You must be target orientated and well organised. If you have a ‘get stuck in’ approach, then you are just the person we are looking for.

A full driving licence and own transport is essential for this post.
