Job Details

Your experience in the use of CCTV gained within an environment with high standards of customer service will be welcome in our busy, friendly Security Team who ensure our students, staff and buildings are safe. Key elements of the role will include:

•Maintaining the delivery of critical security response operation within a customer focused environment

•Familiarity with access control, CCTV and fire alarm systems

•Security statement reporting in relation to investigations and incidents

•Dealing calmly with emergencies and potentially difficult situations

•Basic first aid (training will be given if required)

In addition to your experience within this type of environment, you will need a working knowledge of safe working practices, health and safety requirements, fire and security alarms and access control systems along with the ability to foster and maintain good working relationships and high levels of customer service skills.

The 10% shift allowance will bring the salary to £19,058 to £20,654 per annum and weekend enhancements will further increase this.  Hours for the post are worked 5 days over 7 on a rota basis, one from 05:30 to 13:30 or 13:30 to 21:30.  Although the post is based at our Moulsecoomb campus, there will be regular travel to other university sites using university vehicles so a clean driving license will be essential.

Knowledge Transfer Partnerships
