Role: Production Operator (Permanent)
Salary: £28,000 to £30,000 per annum + bonus & overtime – weekly pay
Hours: 4 on and 4 off, 6:00am till 6:00pm (Days)
Location: Commutable from Crawley, Horsham, Dorking, Leatherhead, Haywards Heath and surrounding areas

Due to the present incumbent retiring in June, we actively in search of a reliable and enthusiastic Production Operative who is interested in a varied role covering monitoring, quality and minor maintenance and repair work. You will join a team that that are highly loyal, friendly and supportive.

Responsibilities

This is varied role, and an important role within the factory, being responsible for the end result. Ensuring quality standards are being maintained, monitoring the equipment and setting it up for production, assisting with minor maintenance, mechanical and repair work, and finally documenting work completed. The role can be physical, and it’s an environment where you can expect to get your hands dirty.

· Monitoring and maintaining consistent operation of the equipment.

· Completing set-ups, basic mechanical repairs, planned maintenance and lubrication activities.

· Conducting quality, environmental and process checks and testing to ensure product compliance and optimal performance.

· Maintaining higher standards of housekeeping and environmental to support the Factory’s 5S program.

· Assisting with maintenance tasks e.g. refractory replacement, wheel greasing.

· Assist in the development of Risk Assessments and Standard Safe Operating Procedures

· Recording and documenting of process results and maintenance activities.

· Delivering through the process of IMS (TPM) plant improvement initiatives and continuous improvement.

Requirements

· Mechanically minded or engineering / mechanical qualification

· Adaptable to changing priorities and tasks.

· Self- motivated and able to work with minimal supervision

· Methodical and systematic approach with a high attention to detail

· Numerate and literate

· Team working attitude

· Demonstrable problem solving skills

· Driving licence and own transport

· Physically fit

· Not put off by repetitive tasks and getting your hands dirty

· Ideally worked in a similar manual role

· Good English communication and written skills
