THE ROLE

We're looking for a Data Protection and Compliance Manager to be responsible for defining and managing our data protection, compliance and health and safety requirements.

80% of the role is weighted towards Data and Compliance. This is a newly created, standalone position created due to the continued growth of the business.

Primary Duties & Areas of Responsibility:

• To proactively keep up-to-date with statutory, legal and regulation compliance and circulate information to relevant teams including designing and delivering internal training
• To provide subject matter expertise with regards to data compliance and GDPR
• To implement and manage all data protection and compliance strategies
• To act as the organisation’s Data Protection Officer including monitoring notifications with the ICO
• To complete Subject Access Requests
• To assess operational risks and develop risk management strategies
• To monitor business compliance by gathering relevant data and producing reports.
• To manage the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring ongoing development, accreditation and compliance to ISO9001 and ISO27001
• To be responsible for leading Health and Safety for the business and instigating a program to achieve a zero-accident culture whilst ensuring compliance with all H&S legislation
• To implement all policies regarding data compliance and health and safety
• To Support Tender applications with technical knowledge
• To develop and maintain effective relationships with all areas of the business

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

To be successful you will need to be:

• Demonstratable knowledge of Data GDPR

• Proven experience as a compliance professional with excellent stakeholder management
• Experience with ISO standards and audit process
• Keen attention to detail
• Be a commercially aware, focused & business minded partner
