£27k - £35k per annum + profit related bonus.

My client is looking for a Technical Sales Manager to work within their small but dynamic team researching new opportunities within existing clients and finding new opportunity in new prospect bases. You will be required to have direct liaison with prospective and existing clients alike delivering numbers as required. Strong technical skills are required, preferably in the IT arena.
The core markets they work in are predominantly transport, logistics and public sector but would suit other untapped markets that you can maximise in and the successful candidate needs to be able to adapt their sales ability to other sectors day to day. Although the role will not require the ability to carry out detailed engineering work, it is essential that you have an interest in, and the ability to conceptualise solutions in pre and post-sales technical products and, when required, travel to see clients in these environments.
This needs a tenacious character with an eye for detail full who is dynamic and positive in a commercial environment.
Responsibilities:
* To maintain regular contact with new and existing relationships and to engage in direct and tender requirements for the future.
* To manage all new business pipeline and sales related projects including new product roll outs and to respond to tender responses enquiries.
* To work with internal stakeholders in delivering new projects to the business.
* Work special projects as assigned by management.
* Ability to organise and compose quotations, PQQs, tenders, etc.
* Report on all industry related conversations on the CRM and to ensure the database is updated daily regarding all upcoming pipeline opportunities
* Prepare industry reports for management meetings by collecting, analysing and summarizing information
* Maintain relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements.
Person Requirements:
* New business mentality with strong commercial acumen and the ability to spot opportunity within existing and new business accounts.
* Ambitious with good entrepreneurial and numerate skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Articulate with excellent communication skills and confident on the phone.
* Consistently achieving new business KPIs as required that include cold calling targets, industry event attendances, networking, outbound marketing contributions.
* Engineering background / BA Degree and minimum 12 months sales front line industry experience and MS office experience
