Microsoft SQL Server DBA with strong skills in TSQL, SQL Server Reporting services, SQL Server Analysis Services and PowerShell needed to join a team focused on the support, maintenance and development of the SQL estate for a large professional; services firm.

The responsibilities are varied, but will include:

• Playing an integral role in delivering high quality solutions in Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2/2012/2014/2017
• Contributing to agile meetings, including planning, review, retrospectives and daily stand ups
• Using agile tools and techniques to manage workload and collaborate within the team
• Where necessary supporting, enhancing and refactoring stored procedures, triggers and user defined functions for existing applications
• Demonstrating and following best working practices in use the of technologies, keeping up to date with and communicating developments in the industry
• Understanding, demonstrating and encouraging software craftsmanship

Candidate

This role is in an agile team, collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders so excellent communication skills are essential. The right candidate will be experienced in the development, support and administration of: stored procedures, triggers and user defined functions in Microsoft SQL server 2008R2, 2012,2014 and 2017. The candidate will also be responsibility for the on-going maintenance of databases, ensuring backup integrity and supporting the department's disaster recovery strategy aswell as the migration of databases to new environments.
