Roche is recruiting for a talented, enthusiastic engineering specialist to join our EMEA regional customer support center (RCSC) in Burgess Hill. You will become part of a vibrant environment, where our experts are committed every day to assisting Roche customers (hospital & private laboratories/ research centres) on issues related to complex medical instruments and innovative devices.

As a Regional Technical Specialist you will be jointly providing technical hardware and scientific support related to a wide range of medical instruments and devices such as Molecular Solutions, Serum Work Areas, HIVD, Tissue Diagnostics for healthcare professionals across the UK, Ireland, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden and South Africa. Through automation and systems integration in Roche technologies, we help doctors and scientists recommend treatment solutions that deliver superior care for patients.

Your responsibilities
  • Advise and support Roche international customers in English and Danish, Swedish or Norwegian;
  • Take care of technical and application requests and drive solutions from A to Z from the entry of request, analysis and structuring of the issue, to full implementation of an adequate solution by phone or remotely;
  • Provide on-site support activities if necessary during complex situations;
  • Be the interface between field engineers, customers in the served countries, and Global level support in Switzerland.
  • Support Laboratory Trainers during customers and new employees training sessions;
  • Complete special projects as assigned.

Your profile
  • You have successfully completed your studies in Medical Technology/ Biomedical Sciences/ Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent programs.
  • You speak fluently English and one of the languages: Danish, Swedish or Norwegian (required).
  • Preferably you have gained experience of working in the medical/ technical environment as a technician or scientist where you obtain a good understanding of lab practices or fluidics/ robotics/ electrical engineering.
  • You are responsible and passionate about helping people in a rich multi-cultural environment.
  • You will be able to live within commuting distance to Burgess Hill or relocate to the geographical area.
