You will be instrumental in sharing best practice as well as delivering regular CPD, both within and beyond the maths department. You will also support and advise with the development of new curriculum and assessment approaches with a particular focus on catch-up strategies and effective transition between key stages.

Beyond Shoreham Academy you will have the opportunity to work closely with United Learning subject advisors, influencing approaches to maths teaching and learning across over 50 schools and our local feeder primary schools.

Our maths department is a forward thinking team who collectively work together in raising the aspiration and success of our students. GCSE results have steadily risen over the past 5 years. We attained our best ever set of results in 2018:
- 78% in 4+ and nearly 56% in 5+.

We have a large uptake of students continuing to study Mathematics during their A Level studies, so there are potential opportunities in teaching KS5 at AS, A2 or Further Maths level if candidates have the relevant experience.

- 62% of our year 13 students gained an A*-B.
- Past students have achieved places at Oxford, Cambridge and Harvard University.

You will be an outstanding classroom practitioner with extensive experience of teaching KS3 and KS4 and a track record of securing outstanding achievement and attainment outcomes for learners.

You will have outstanding subject knowledge and be able to demonstrate passion and enthusiasm in communicating this to others.

You will be able to demonstrate resilience, motivation and commitment to driving up achievement through the support and development of others.

Shoreham Academy offers outstanding professional development and career progression. If you are keen to become part of a dedicated and motivated team, then Shoreham Academy is the place for you and we look forward to receiving your application.
