Can you support students to engage in practical sessions?

Are you looking to expand your experience?

Do you have experience supporting students with social, emotional and mental health problems?

If so, we would love to know!

Engaging in therapy sessions, including horse-riding, gardening, art and music therapy, you will ensure that your students with SEMH needs can understand their barriers to learning. In addition, you will participate in all of the sessions throughout the day to help them build key life skills and independence.

Job responsibilities:

- Participate alongside your class to support students to engage in therapy sessions

- Work on a one-to-one and group basis alongside the main teacher

- Help students to build key life skills

- Understand the social and emotional needs of each student

- Enforce health and safety protocol in each session

- Feedback to the main teacher regarding what went well and areas for improvement

- Ensure that each student can overcome their barriers to learning through interactive play

Key requirements:

- Experience in SEN, Education or Youth Work

- Own means of transport

- A keenness to develop skills
