NHS AfC: Band 7

Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust (SCFT) is the largest community health and care provider in Sussex. Our expert teams deliver a wide range of medical, nursing and therapeutic care to over 9,000 people a day, serving a total population of 1.3 million.

We pride ourselves in providing excellent care at the heart of the community. In July 2018, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) gave us an improved 'Good' rating, with 'Outstanding' features. 96% of our patients said they would recommend our services to their friends and family, and we attribute this to the hard work and dedication of each and every one of our teams.

We offer our staff a multitude of benefits; flexible working, free health and wellbeing checks, three tax efficient workplace nurseries rated 'Good' and 'Outstanding' by Ofsted, and a wide range of exciting learning and development opportunities including external courses, conferences, and a Graduate Studentship Scheme.

The Trust is signed up to the disability confident scheme and we guarantee to interview all disabled applicants who meet the minimum criteria for the vacancy.

This is a new opportunity for a self-motivated and enthusiastic clinical pharmacist to join Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust (SCFT) Medicines Management Team. It would be suitable for someone wishing to gain further experience in a clinical role or for someone returning to work after a career break. The post will involve working with specialist pharmacy technicians to deliver a high quality and effective medicines management service to our patients in bedded units and in the pharmacy dispensary for clinical screening and supporting the supply of medicines. You will be delivering excellent and safe patient-centred care.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity you will have been working as a clinical pharmacist directly with patients with complex health needs and with a range of healthcare professionals. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proven team working abilities, be resourceful and be able to manage your time effectively.

The post is based at Crawley Hospital.

Although the position is full-time, applicants wanting a part-time position will be considered.

This post may close earlier than the published closing date if sufficient applications are received.

Correspondence relating to this vacancy will be conducted electronically. Please ensure that you check your e:mails on a regular basis. References will be requested electronically also; please ensure you provide correct contact details for referees.
