Assistant Site Manager – Leading Housing Developer – West Sussex

We work together with trusted partners to tackle the shortage of good quality homes. And we make a lasting contribution to the landscape and to the communities we help create. We have built 19,500 homes in the last five years, across London, Birmingham and the South of England.
About the Role: The role is a great opportunity to work on a high-rise prestige development. The Assistant Site Manager position would suit someone who wants the opportunity for recognition within the company for future progression, once they have a proven track record and an opportunity arises. The Assistant Site Manager will be responsible to the Project Manager on site
Responsibilities:
Reporting to a Site/Project Manager, the Assistant Site Manager will assist with the responsibility for the building and production process on site. The following headings set out the broad range of responsibilities;
* Construction phase / short term programming and monitoring.
* Practical build-ability assessment & input.
* Material scheduling and purchase requisitions.
* Labour and subcontractor site management & motivation.
* Site Management of Health & Safety, risk assessment and method statements.
* Quality management responsibility on site for the process and final product.
* Maintain professional relationships with clients and consultants.
* Setting out experience would be beneficial.
* SMSTS
* First Aid Qualification.
Key Skills:
* Knowledge of H&S and Environmental Legislations.
* Knowledge of Construction Best Practices.
* Commercial and Contractual Management
* Knowledge of QA system and Company SMS.
* Process mapping
* Presentation skills
* Facilitation
* Planning Management
* People/Team skills
* Leadership skills
* Communication
* Delegation
