As an apprentice support engineer you will be supporting the businesses 1st and 2nd line customer support, assisting in setup and maintenance of client sites, analysis and investigation of a data processing pipeline, data management and communicating and collaborating with others.

At Rakuten as an apprentice Support Engineer your day to day will look like:

  • Managing queries and tasks escalated by 1st/2nd line client support team
  • Assisting with set-up and maintenance of client sites in Rakuten marketing’s attribution platform
  • Analysis and investigation of issues that may arise through the data processing pipeline
  • Ensuring imported data is collected and processed daily 
  • Monitor infrastructure and systems with internal tools
  • Communicate and collaborate with others
  • Updating internal documentation when required

Desired skills

  • Relevant I.T. related training
  • Experience with database systems and server architecture
  • Proficient writing SQL database queries
  • Desire to learn about new technology
  • Ability to investigate and resolve tasks swiftly and effectively using own initiative
  • Exceptional communication skills

Desired qualifications

Degree level or similar.
