Class 1 Night Trunk Driver - Crawley
About the Class 1 Night Trunk Driver Role:
Joining us as a Class 1 Night Trunk Driver, you will be a responsible driver transporting freight for our valued customers. You will represent Tuffnells Parcel Express in a professional manner with the customer at the heart of everything you do; our hard working and committed driving team are Tuffnells visual ambassadors out on the road.
In this interesting and challenging role you will be responsible for:
-Transporting a wide variety of items to Tuffnells depots across the UK
-Following the designated routes which relate to the trunk you are operating and communicating your location and estimated arrival time
-Carrying out a daily check on the vehicle, equipment and load for which you have responsibility and report any defects ensuring that the axle and gross weights are compliant for maximum safety and protection on the road
-Providing excellent customer service to all internal and external customers
About You:
Although a track record in Trunking would be desirable, demonstrable experience in a similar role would be considered.
You'll also be able to evidence:
-A valid C+E UK driving license
-A driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph
-Passionate and driven by delivering great customer service
-Good communication skills
-Previous experience of working to deadlines
-Previous experience in a similar role
-Team player
-Flexibility
Desirable
-Previous experience as a Trunk Driver
-Experience of operating Wagon & Drag
