This is an exciting opportunity for a self-driven, results-oriented individual who has previous Field or Tele B2B sales experience and is looking for a new challenge. The Small to Medium Business market segment remains a strong opportunity for outstanding growth, and as such we require Business Development Executives to share in our continued success by joining our expanding Sales Team.
Our Global Commercial Payments Team offers businesses of all sizes award-wining payment solutions that provides greater rewards, improved cashflow and visibility and control of spend.
This is a Telephone based, highly rewarded Sales role, with an excellent Base salary and an uncapped OTI. You will also be eligible for the numerous benefits American Express offers its employees, including private healthcare and pension as well as outstanding career development and progression opportunities in a diverse organisation.
Candidates should have a proven track record of driving results in sales and extensive cold-calling experience. Strong communication skills are critical. Success will be measured by the number of new Cardmembers signed, booked charge volume on new Cardmembers, effective pipeline management, time management, ability to engage/motivate prospects and leadership skills. B2B experience is a plus. This is a phone-based role with limited/no face to face client interaction.
• Winning new business on a mix of warm and cold leads via effective consultative selling – understanding customer needs and offering the most appropriate product and services.
• Building and managing your own pipeline, managing sales leads from identification and initial contact through close, carefully tracking and developing leads across the sales cycle.
• Having the commercial flair and financial acumen to understand the market and identify potential new clients

- Previous sales experience preferred
- Self-driven and results oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on over delivering on your target
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- A natural forward planner who is highly organized and has the ability to manage multiple customers at different stages of the sales process
- Mature, credible and comfortable in dealing with senior company executives.
