We are looking for an experienced, full time Transport Lead Co-ordinator to join our team.

We seek someone who is not only a competent driver but also has the ability to plan, organise and co-ordinate the collection of donated goods for the 6 retail businesses operating from the Portslade and Southwick sites. Someone who has the ability to supervise, lead and train a team of Companions and volunteers who are allocated to working on the vans. Also has the ability to deliver great customer service as you will be making decisions on the donated goods we accept, or unfortunately sometimes have to refuse.

You will work in conjunction with the retail managers and telephone operators to co-ordinate the 3 vans for the efficient and effective collection and delivery of donated goods from the local area to the Emmaus retail shops. You will be responsible for the delivery of training in Health & Safety regulations applicable to driving and the moving of goods and customer service to the van crews.

You will join a rota of drivers, Saturdays are included. This is a full time role and you will work 37.5 hours over 5 days per week.

from catering to retailing, transport to maintenance, pricing to customer service.
