Location: Kingsmead Lodge, Horsham

Salary: £9.95 - £10.45 per hour

Part Time, Permanent

SHC are recruiting for a 2nd Chef to join the team at one of our homes located in Horsham, West Sussex.

Kingsmead Lodge supports and assist up to 20 adults who have learning and physical disabilities.

As a 2nd Chef, you will be responsible for:

  • Monitor the menu within the home, considering the needs of the residents
  • Ensure all meal are of a high standard of quality
  • Purchase provisions from the list of approved suppliers
  • Ensure all the purchase costs do not exceed budgets
  • Temperature checks on delivery of food

Successful applicants must have the following experience:

  • Working in a Chef post
  • Experience of working in a care environment
  • Management of staff
  • Awareness of Food + Hygiene

Driving Licence and own vehicle is beneficial but not essential
