Software Engineer (GUI/Lasers)

An expanding high-tech laser organisation are looking for a Software Engineer to join their growing team, working on innovative designs of control systems.

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing software control systems for high power lasers. This includes Windows based GUI development as well as embedded firmware. This will include designing aspects of key projects, managing the development programme and timescales through to the release.

The company have recently been acquired by a larger organisation but have kept their small company feel, and still have the freedom to create unique designs. Their products are used in industrial applications, for markets such as automotive, aerospace and defence.

Software Engineer Requirements:

Essential:

• Embedded development
• Ability to develop Windows based GUI’s for control systems
• Knowledge of microcontroller and microprocessor programming and interfacing
• Strong C family programming (C/C++/C#)
• Experience developing software for industrial/control machinery
• Windows (MFC/Visual Studio)

Desirable:

• Programming electronic controls of industrial laser systems
• WPF
• Java
• VB

Position: Software Engineer (GUI/Lasers)

Salary: Up to £55k
