Contract Type

We wish to recruit a part-time Child Looked After Coordinator. The successful candidate will work within the Student Advice and Support Team, to provide appropriate support for Children Looked After and Care Leavers. There is an opportunity for this role to be worked alongside the Student Welfare Co-ordinator which we are currently advertising.

Background to the post

When learners apply to Worthing College we liaise with their secondary schools and other agencies to identify students who are Children Looked After or Care Leavers. In addition, young people may become CLA at any time and some Worthing College students are asylum seekers and refugees who arrive in the UK unaccompanied. The role of the Children Looked After Coordinator is to arrange for these students to receive a range of statutory and additional support for their education, including the administration of Personal Education Plans.
