Nursing Assistant – In-Patient Unit
15 hours
£17,748 per annum, (FTE £19,370)
St Barnabas House, Worthing
St Barnabas House provides specialist palliative care to adults in the Worthing, Adur, Arun and Henfield areas through a range of services, including in-patient care, day hospice and community care.
You will be joining a multi-professional team committed to delivering high standards of care to people living with life shortening conditions. You will need to demonstrate an understanding of palliative care and a desire to work in a caring environment, supported by previous relevant experience to enable you to provide nursing care to inpatients.
Role Requirements:
- Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work within a large team
- Ability to use own initiative
- Ability to respond to changing situations
- Able to identify personal coping strategies
Qualifications/Experience required:
- Experience working as a Nursing Assistant in other settings, preferably a hospital
Desirable:
- Willingness to study for NVQ Level 3
