HR Associate
Brighton area
£29,515 - £33,199
Full or part-time (up to 36.5 hours a week)
This is a great opportunity for a Senior HR Administrator or Advisor / Officer to support a large organisation based in the Brighton area.
The role holder has three key priorities:
1. To provide high quality support to the HRBPs
2. To manage the interface with the HR Business Services team and Payroll
3. To provide a high quality HR service
Main accountabilities:
HRBP Support
To support HRBPs in managing employee relations cases and taking responsibility for some casework.
To deal with queries referred by the Business Services team that need a greater degree of HR expertise.
To undertake qualitative and quantitative research and analysis in support of projects and casework.
To provide administrative support to the team in support of employee relations cases, projects, employment tribunal preparations, committees and meetings.
To manage information and records in support of the HRBPs.
Provision of job design and job evaluation services.
To provide support to the HR senior management as required.
Supporting the delivery of manager/employee training
Updating HR policies and guidance notes
HR Business Services Liaison
Advice and support to the Business Services team on more technical or complex queries.
Co-ordination of recruitment and contract management activities in close collaboration with the Business Services team.
Support of the HR Business Services Manager in developing the Business Services Team members.
Liaison with Payroll on pay queries and records management.
Client Engagement
Proactive engagement, advice and support to School and Directorate managers focusing on pragmatic solutions.
Development of productive relationships with other parts of the HR team and Professional Services Directorate to provide integrated and seamless services.
Participation in School and cross-directorate projects.
Active support of the HR Transformation programme.
Experience required:
Experience as an HR Advisor or Senior HR Administrator in a complex organisation.
CIPD Level 5/7 qualified or work towards that level or with significant demonstrable HR experience
Employee relations casework
HR operations (e.g. recruitment, contract management, absence, disciplinary, grievance)
Project working
HR analytics (e.g. turnover, analytics, workforce planning)
