Webbes family group of Restaurants seeks an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team. Working primarily at Webbes Rock-a-Nore, our Hastings Old Town Restaurant, running a busy, established business. Covering a mixture of split shifts and some straights, including weekends and bank holiday work as these are our busiest times. A hands on role giving the best of customer service, order taking, deputising for the restaurant manager with duties including cashing up, using ResDiary booking system and Epos direct billing system, staff rotas, timesheets, ordering and email correspondence and more administrative duties. You will be required to move around our group supervising at our other restaurants, covering managers busy times, holidays and occasional absence cover, so own transport would be a great advantage. We seek an experienced candidate with some basic good food and wine knowledge. If you are keen, smart, hard working, politely spoken, then we are interested in your application. Webbes consists of three contemporary restaurants, one gallery Cafe and a Cookery School, in three fantastic Sussex locations - Rye, Hastings Old Town's fishing quarter, and the village of Westfield.
The Wild Mushroom Restaurant opened in 1998, inspired by our love of foraging wild food and the outstanding natural ingredients on our doorstep such as Rye Bay Scallops and the sustainable fish and shellfish of the Hastings eco friendly fleet's daily catch.
In 2004 we opened Webbes at the Fish Cafe in Rye, a family friendly restaurant offering the freshest local fish with an open plan kitchen so you may watch all of the action.
In 2009 we added Webbe's Rock-a-Nore to our family, situated opposite the net huts and small boats of the Hastings fishing fleet.
In 2012 we became the contract Caterers for Hastings Contemporary in Hastings Old Town, offering a self service Cafe, with the most outstanding view of Hastings Harbour.
Webbes Cookery School where you can enjoy learning a variety of cooking experiences under Paul Webbes careful supervision.
