Brighton College has an opportunity for a Gardener to join the team based in Brighton. You will join us on a full time , permanent basis and in return, receive a competitive salary of £20,726 per annum dependant on experience.

The Role – Gardener

Brighton College has a reputation for excellence in sports and amenity. Applicants are invited for an experienced, enthusiastic Gardener to join a small team to maintain and develop the outdoor amenity facilities of the College to a high standard.

As our Gardener ideally you’ll have:

- NVQ level 2 in horticulture or equivalent

- Full and clean driving licence

- Experience in handling horticultural machines

- Good communication skills

- Ability to cope with a busy routine involving pupils and staff

- Able to work flexible hours when required

Gardener Working Hours

40 hours per week – 7.30am to 4.15pm, Monday to Friday with a 45 minute unpaid lunch break. In addition, the successful candidate will be required to work 4 Open Days on a rota basis on Saturdays from 7am to 9am to be claimed on timesheets. During the year the ability to work flexi-hours to meet College needs will be required. Paid overtime will be required at busy periods.
