An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for a well established and growing insurance company.

The primary function will be general day to day account handling of Motor Trade accounts.

Duties:

· To assist and carry out insurance administration as required.

· To understand existing Client business risks and their approach to insurance and to administer insurance programmes designed for the protection of the material assets and liabilities of Clients ensuring their effective operation.

· To provide day-to-day servicing and administration of allocated Client’s insurance programmes in a timely, technically accurate and cost effective manner, in accordance with the Company’s Procedures and Performance Standards.

· To maintain, and achieve profitable growth in income from existing Clients and seek new business for the Company in line with personal targets as defined within own objectives and Business Plan.

Principle Objectives and Responsibilities:

· To provide broking and administrative services to Client, confining advice and information to those areas in which you are knowledgeable and competent, otherwise seeking advice as appropriate, including but not limited to: 

· Giving instructions to insurance providers. 

· Checking policy documents, (including endorsements) for accuracy prior to receipt by Clients. 

· To handle the invoicing of premiums due, maintaining effective credit control in respect of allocated Clients. 

· To process correspondence, renewals, pre-renewal activity, quotations and computer input. 

· Ensuring that all emails and Sales diary activity is completed on a daily basis in accordance with the department’s Procedures.

· Ensure that renewals are being completed in line with company procedures. 

· Manage own files as per Procedures.

· To build relationships and understand Client’s situation, opportunities and problems and then design an insurance solution. 

· To assist in team performance by regular communication with colleagues and manager to establish and raise concerns and provide solutions. 

· To actively expand existing Client portfolio, to identify additional covers, cross/up selling activities, and similar new business opportunities. 

· Ability to construct effective written communications, including letters, emails and reports. 

· To ensure compliance with FCA Regulatory requirements, procedures and customer service standards.

· To ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act at all times.

· To ensure compliance with Treating Customers Fairly (TCF).

· To undertake training in line with agreed objectives and keep up-to-date with technical, legal and market developments. To include training and development of new or inexperienced staff to ensure familiarity with the Company’s systems and processes. 

· To maintain personal knowledge and skills through continued professional development. 

· To conduct the business of the Company at all times in a courteous and efficient manner. Develop and maintain positive on-going relationships with Insurers and Underwriters in a professional manner. 

· To undertake any other task as may reasonably be required by the Company.

Knowledge Required:

· A thorough understanding of FCA regulations and guidelines relating to Commercial customers.

· Knowledge of Company’s Performance and Procedures Standards. 

· Knowledge and understanding of a broad range of Commercial Policy types and classes. 

· Knowledge of the regulatory requirements of general insurance in operation at any time.

· Willingness to continue to develop knowledge of products and related issues through formal and informal learning, both internally and externally to the Company.

· Understand how related areas operate and has an awareness of our key competitors.
