We have a great opportunity for a Software Engineer to join a small team to develop new software and the continuous improvement of instrument control software.
The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining bespoke control software, defining new project specifications and providing regular project updates, maintaining version control and updating of online manual and testing new software features with required hardware.
Candidates will ideally be educated to degree level in an engineering discipline such as Software, Electrical or Electronic with Object oriented programming experience. Knowledge of threading and/or hardware interface experience are both beneficial but not essential.
Previous experience developing software to control hardware devices is a real benefit but as stated above, as long as you are proficient in programming in any language, such as C#, C++, VB.Net, Java etc, you can be taught the rest.
This is a great opportunity to work under the guidance of an experienced Developer, to be taken under their wing and be taught all the skills needed for the role. This role would suit an individual with a couple of years programming experience, either someone that has recently graduated from University, left College or is looking for their 2nd role as a Developer. As long as you are proficient in programming, in any language, we would like to hear from you
