Science Technician – Role B (LGA Pay Scale 7-11)
We are looking to appoint a Science Technician to start as soon as possible to provide support to staff and students within our vibrant Science Department. 32.5 hours per week: 8.30am – 3.30pm Monday-Friday, term time only (44 weeks per year). Salary: LGA Scale 7-11 £19,554-£21,166. Actual pro rata Salary £14,599-£15,803 pa.
Patcham High School is an 11–16 comprehensive school of 1050 students, situated on the northern outskirts of Brighton, very close to the old village of Patcham. The school is rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and we are in an exciting phase of development to become ‘Outstanding’. We are known for our innovative approach and we value professional training very highly.
The successful candidate will work with the Senior Technician to help prepare resources for teachers and students to use in the laboratories during class time. Ideally candidates will have experience in this field, but this is not essential and training can be provided if required. - Have knowledge and experience of working in a Science related role;
- Be committed to making Science an exciting subject for our students;
- Have excellent organisational and outstanding interpersonal skills.
