My client is seeking a candidate to fulfil a technical role to provide consultancy services to customers, as well as pre/post sales technical support, working closely with internal staf and directly with our leading vendor partners and customers. The successful candidate will be required to perform remote and on-site customer visits.

Role Description:

•Carry out software installation and confguration, proof of concept (POC) planning, assist in customer problem identifcation and resolution, upgrades, perform assessments, perform system and network audits etc. Travel to customer sites as required.

•Work alongside the sales team to provide product demonstrations, highlihgting the benefit of solutions to potential customers

•Assist the sales team in the preparation of proposals, RFI and tender responses.

•Provide pre/post-sales technical support to end customers via email, telephone and remote web conferencing.

•Log all technical and sales activity within the company CRM.

•Keep up to date with product updates, new releases and IT technology trends.

Skills Required:

•Experience with IT Management and IT Security solutions not essential but highly desirable.

•Minimum 3 years technical experience within the IT software/networking feld.

•System Administration experience across a range of IT systems and solutions; Windows/UN*X Server Operating Systems, Software Installation, Confguration and Management, Active Directory, Exchange, API's, Storage, Virtualisation and SQL DB's.

•Experience of enterprise level network equipment; Routers, Switches, UTM's, Data Backup and Recovery etc.

•IT Service Management, Help Desk and Network Management/Monitoring systems.

•Understanding of SNMP, TCP/IP, WMI, etc.

•Experience of providing tier1/ tier 2 support

•Personable with excellent customer-facing communication skills. Ability to work on own initiative.

Other Desirable Skills:

•Up to date with latest technology trends.

•Good understanding of SaaS and web based tools.

•Previous experience and familiarity with HTML, SSH, CSS, PHP etc.

•Exhibition, trade show, workshop and seminar experience.

•Scripting languages such as Powershell, VBScript, Javascript, shell etc.

•SQL data reporting using SQL Query Language.

•Security Information Event Management (SIEM).

•Familiar with compliance and governance standards, methods and practices.
