Workshop Assistant - J1822BB
Our client is an established and successful full-service events agency on the Sussex coast that serves the UK and Europe. Their prime focus is live events, marketing events, summits, exhibition stand design and build, conference production and special builds and experiential. The winners in this sector will be those with the vision to turn technology into real and practical applications that deliver a different proposition in a busy market. THE JOB
Workshop Assistant
The Workshop Assistant will work closely with the Workshop Manager, Installers and Production Managers to ensure the successful preparation of assets to be transported or installed. The post-holder must be committed to delivering the highest quality service.
The Workshop Assistant is a critical position and demands an excellent grasp of maintenance, storage and installations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Handle stand and stock items (incl. palletising, storing, loading, refurbishing etc.)
* Prepare installations – including the preparation of checklists, graphics, tools, safety equipment and vehicles
* Maintain a professional approach at all times
* Ensure every product meets the specification and follows the packing and checking process
* Maintain a clean organised work environment
* Maintain a safe work environment at all times and ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of the physical location (including tools and vehicles used for production)
* Maintain and checking site tools
* Identify low stock levels and notifying production manager
* Suggest the introduction of systems and methods to maximise efficiency in production
* Receive incoming goods for events/projects, check and notify the recipient
* Ensure a successful collection of assets and goods-in from staff and clients (as required)
THE CANDIDATE
Essential:
* GCSE in Maths at Grade C or equivalent
* GCSE in English at Grade C or equivalent
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Ability to present information clearly and concisely
LOCATION/HOURS
Our client have new refurbished offices on the Sussex coast where’s there is already an excellent working environment. Full- time, 8.15- 17.00, 1-hour lunch.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
£18,000 - £22,000 dependent on experience
