Learning Assistant
Pro rata of £17,473 per annum
Contracts available up to 32 hours per week over 36 weeks per year

You will be supporting students requiring additional help with their programmes of study across various areas within College, creating positive relationships with them and assisting them in a classroom or workshop setting. This will include students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities, including emotional, social, behavioural and mobility needs.
To support both the pastoral care and academic development of our students, it is essential that you have GCSE English at grade C or above, (or equivalent) and Maths GCSE at grade C or above (or equivalent), or a willingness to work towards this subject qualification, as well as effective organisational, interpersonal and communication skills. Experience of working with people with learning difficulties and disabilities is essential, whilst experience of working with 14-16 year olds who demonstrate challenging behaviour would be an advantage.
