Job Title: Customer Service and Administration Assistant

Salary: £18,000 per annum

Location: Burgess Hill

Duration: Permanent

Hours: 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday

Benefits: 20 days holiday for the first 2 years, increasing to 22 days after 2 years continuous service and then increasing by 1 day per year thereafter, up to a maximum of 25 days in all, private medical insurance, company pension scheme, season ticket loans

We are excited to be working with our established client in the Insurance sector in their search for a Customer Service and Administration Assistant. This is an exciting role for a candidate with previous experience working in a Customer Service and Administrative environment, who is well organised and able to prioritise a busy workload.

Working as a part of a small team, you will be responsible for providing excellent technical and administrative support to insurance customers and brokers, completing a wide variety of duties involved with handling accounts. The successful candidate will be expected to process new and renewal insurance policies, as well as handling customer and client enquiries via email, telephone and ‘live help’. As such, the ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, as well as the ability to provide great customer service.

Experience in Insurance is not essential as full training will be provided. This role would suit a recent graduate or someone who is looking to embark on a long career in Insurance in a Company that pride themselves on their training, positive environment and staff retention. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small but growing business where you will get the opportunity to see many areas of an Insurance business, something not often possible in larger companies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Process new and renewing business via the company Risk system

* Producing and delivering insurance documentation, updating client information and gathering further risk details, preparing renewals and adjustments

* Respond to emails, live help and telephone calls from customers and clients

* Ensure legal compliance by following company policies, procedures, guidelines, as well as UK/EU insurance and FCA regulations

* Managing the needs of customers and insurers

* Undertaking satisfaction improvement actions

* Building/developing partnerships with existing/new customers and insurers

The Person:

* Previous experience in a Customer Service Administration role

* Persistent and determined to succeed

* Confident in their ability to ask questions and speak up where appropriate

* Excellent team player

* Strong communication skills

* Experience of private medical and travel insurance advantageous

* Aptitude to develop a complete and maintained understanding of Company products
