Communications and Campaigns Intern (paid role)

Avert is pleased to be offering a paid internship for a Communications and Campaigns Intern to support Avert’s social media activities, campaigns and research, and digital content production.  Avert provides an excellent internship programme, with previous interns progressing into careers within the international NGO, health and social change sectors. The role would suit someone with an interest in international development issues looking to gain experience in communications, social media, and campaigns.

The main responsibilities of the role will be to support our social media activities and campaigns; support news writing and content production on AVERT.org, and undertake research into HIV developments and new webpages.

A full induction will be given by Avert staff members and there may also be opportunities to attend relevant conferences and training courses for personal development purposes. We offer a great working environment in the seaside city of Brighton and a friendly team atmosphere. 

Salary: £10 per hour  

Hours of work: 17.5 - 21 hours per week (there is some flexibility depending on the circumstances of the candidate). 

Location: Avert, Brighton

Contract: 3 months, with potential to extend to 6 months.
