£17.66 - £31.00 per hour

The BA (Hons)(Top Up) Early Childhood and Foundation Degree in Early Years courses at Crawley College are well established as being excellent pathways for Early Years Professionals working in the sector to improve their knowledge and professionalism. The courses are taught in collaboration with the University of Chichester and students attend College one day a week, with the rest of their time working within an Early Years setting.

The courses are varied, with the Foundation Degree modules including such topics as Health and Wellbeing of Children, Safeguarding and International Perspectives of Childhood. Once this degree is successfully completed, the students can apply to continue their qualifications and study the BA (Hons) ‘top-up’ Degree in Early Childhood. This exciting course considers Leadership and Management in Early Years, Children's Literature and the Media as well as Adventurous Environments, as some examples of modules taught.

The College is looking to employ an Associate Lecturer to join the team in this area. You will be passionate about Early Years Education, have extensive knowledge of the EYFS and have an understanding of the support that is needed for both families and children at this young age. You will be able to demonstrate your understanding of the challenges that currently affect EY Professionals in the sector. A knowledge of the theoretical and historical background of Early Years is essential.

You will undertake teaching and related duties that fully support students throughout their learning journey and provide them with a high quality learning experience. You will have excellent communication skills and undertake collaboration with the Module Coordinators at the University of Chichester on a regular basis.

Experience in VLE such as Moodle would be an advantage, however training will be given if necessary.

Experience working in the sector is essential together with a BA (Hons) Degree in Early Childhood/ Early Years.
