The Company
Our client is a family run business with over 19 years’ experience of adapting motor vehicles for drivers and passengers with disabilities.
In the last 8 years they have expanded into the light commercial vehicle industry to fit air suspension and levelling systems to vehicles such as Motorhomes, Ambulances and Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles.
They are currently seeking a Technical Sales Advisor to join their busy office team based in Bolney, West Sussex.
The Role
You will be responsible for converting incoming sales enquiries into orders and supporting customers with technical and pricing queries, along with scheduling the engineers’ workload.
- Offering technical advice to customers on air suspension for light commercial vehicles and on vehicle adaptations for people with disabilities.
- Matching customer needs to our product range and selling the benefits.
- Providing pre and post-sales technical advice to customers.
- Raising quotes for customers and following the process through to the point of sale.
- Scheduling engineers’ weekly diary.
- Deal with any customer enquiries over the phone and face to face.
- Checking in parts and managing the stock returns.
- Handing over vehicles to customers.
The Person:
This role would ideally suit someone who has previously worked within an engineering or motor vehicle industry and is keen to develop their skills further.
- A general interest and understanding of all things engineering.
- Sales experience within a technical industry.
- Ability to quickly understand products and their benefits.
- Natural ability to solve problems and a technical mind.
- Confidence in identifying the right product for the customer and providing written and verbal quotations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to forge and maintain strong working relationships.
- Experience of providing a high level of customer service with an emphasis on exceeding customer expectations.
Experience with motor vehicles or LCVs would be an advantage.
