An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join us at Chailey Clinical Services, providing specialist expert care for children with complex neuro-disability. We are seeking someone with some experience of working with this patient group.

This is a 12 month fixed contract, providing maternity cover.

The successful candidate will work closely with the comprehensive multidisciplinary team, delivering specialist expert care to children and young people who attend our partner organisation, Chailey Heritage School.

We work closely with staff at Chailey Heritage School to give learners with complex disabilities a totally individualised curriculum tailored to their needs and aspirations. Chailey Heritage School is a non-maintained Ofsted awarded 'Outstanding' special school for children and young people aged 3-19 years with complex physical disabilities, high health needs, sensory impairments and associated learning difficulties.

Therapy is integrated throughout the child's school day, supporting and enhancing learning. Collaborative working means that personal therapy and learning outcomes can often be achieved at the same time. Teachers and therapists work together to devise individual programmes and 'next steps' which can be incorporated into meaningful and fun activities.
