About the role

Our client, an engineering consultancy within the Water sector are looking for a Bentley Microstation Technician to join the infrastructure team based in East Grindstead.

The Water & M&E team currently has a wide range of large projects including Water/Waste Water Treatment Plants, pumping stations, water pipelines, road tunnels, Building Services, as well as some other small-scale projects. All of these projects are for reputable clients within the Water and M&E industry located in England, Scotland & Ireland.

You will join the water and M&E team working for the Lead CAD within a developed small team environment involved in a wide-ranging role which could include (project dependent) design, bid preparation, tender preparation and site asset surveys. The role will also involve liaison with site based engineers to communicate design changes so should have excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

* Project Setup (inc folder structure)

* MEP Detailing

* Bid Preparation,

* Updating the Water & M&E CAD Libraries

* CAD specification and tender preparation,

* site asset surveys,

* liaison with operations and maintenance staff on site,

* be able to ensure compliance with current industry standards and to work with all stake holders to ensure successful outcomes

* be able to produce clear and concise written documentation for operational staff who undertake ongoing operation and maintenance of plant.

Essential Requirements

* Bentley Microstation / AECOsim (minimum of 5 years’ experience)

* Bentley Projectwise

* Checking models in/out

* Revising Model Files

* Linking Model Files

* MEP Systems knowledge & features of Microstation

* OS Mapping with Microstation

* AutoCAD / AutoCAD ME

* Generic CAD Standards

* CAD Template Files

* Co-Ordinates & Grid References (World Co-ordinates)

* Degree within the Engineering Sector such as Civils, M&E
