Job Details
IDS has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Research Officer with thematic knowledge of Governance and Development to work across two teams, the Knowledge for Development (K4D) Programme and the Governance Research Cluster.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and writing skills, as well as excellent coordination, prioritisation, project management and communication skills. The role involves liaising with DFID advisers, research partners, and other senior development agency staff so an assertive and diplomatic approach to relationship management is required. The post-holder will need the ability and initiative to work autonomously with minimal supervision, in a fast-paced environment working to rapid deadlines, to play a key role in developing K4D’s evidence and learning work and to facilitate effective communication with DFID advisers working in research, policy and programming.
