Sunrise of Guildford are recruiting for a Care Assistant (Full time or part time based on your preference), to join our Reminiscence team and earn up to £10.20 per hour (depending on experience).

Previous experience within the Care sector is not essential as we provide full comprehensive training. As an organisation we are extremely proud of the training and career development that we offer to all our team members. It’s really important for us and our residents to ensure that you to feel fully confident and comfortable in your role.

All our new care team members undergo a 2 week induction programme including eLearning, commencement of your care certificate underpinning knowledge of 15 standards and practical sessions which include Memory Care Pathway, Falls documentation training, Dining experience and Allergen, Basic Care and Customer Service skills. We also arrange competency and shadow shifts as part of your training. Our Management team and Senior Care Assistants will be there every step of your career to guide and support you grow.

About the role

Working as part of a highly committed Care team at Sunrise, the Care Assistant is one of the key and fundamental roles within our communities. As Care Assistant you will put the residents care and wellbeing at the heart of everything you do. About you

Key things about you;

* Experience preferred but not essential –however a caring and compassionate attitude is.

* NVQ 2/3 in Health and Social Care desirable or a willingness to undertake the qualification

* Effective written and verbal communication skills

* Medication administration training and/or a willingness to undertake training if required

* Must be able to work flexible hours
