Are you passionate about developing and providing quality healthcare services?

Would you like to be part of a forward-thinking team with shared values, focused on delivering compassionate and high quality services to our patients?

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Scientist to join the Chailey Clinical Services (CCS) team within Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust (SCFT).

The post holder will be responsible for the leadership, development and management of a range of complex front line patient-facing clinical engineering services. These include the highly specialist and innovative Rehabilitation Engineering Service (RES) and the Communication Aids Service (CAS), multidisciplinary teams consisting of Clinical Scientists, Rehabilitation Engineers, Technicians, and Therapists.

Chailey Clinical Services provide multidisciplinary healthcare and rehabilitation to children and young adults with complex neuro-developmental needs, and following acquired brain injury. Other than RES and CAS, the services include inpatient rehabilitation, clinic-based assessment and intervention, and clinical interventions for children attending Chailey Heritage School, which is delivered by Chailey Heritage Foundation.

It is an exciting time to join the team at CCS as we have recently developed a three year clinical strategy, and the successful applicant would contribute to the delivery of this strategy, ensuring that RES and CAS staff have the support and resources to meet the needs of the wide variety of service users.

The post holder will be a key member of the Area Management Team which has overall responsibility for the delivery of effective and facilitative professional, business and operational leadership across CCS. They will have a visible leadership role across their services and will need to adopt a compassionate leadership style to enable staff to deliver the right care with the right skills.

This post may close earlier than the published closing date if sufficient applications are received.
