Care Support Worker

The role: The Support Worker role encompasses all aspects of caring for young people within residential care, including supporting the development of their independence, social and life skills and working with the team to provide a safe and secure environment.You will be confronted with challenging behaviour in various forms and including self-injurous behaviours. This opportunity comes from a stable company with excellent training and development progression.
Applicant Criteria: You will need significant experience of supporting vulnerable people within a residential care setting, or of supporting vulnerable young people within a professional setting. You will need to be flexible to working a residential care rota which includes evening weekends and holiday periods and must be able to engage service users and channel their energy and emotions towards positive activities. You will need to be compassionate and resolute and able to manage challenging behaviours confidently.
