Are you an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) who wants to influence how nurse-led care is provided in our Intermediate Care Unit at Bognor Regis War Memorial Hospital?

This post offers you as an ANP the opportunity to use your clinical skills and knowledge in an Intermediate Care Unit setting, to help shape the model of care for our patients, and to be part of the development of this service.

The team on Don Baines Ward where you would be based delivering care to our patients are very welcoming.

You will need to be able to be able to work autonomously providing advanced clinical nursing skills and competencies Duties will include history-taking, physical assessment and prescribing to ensure our patients receive excellent care and that our beds are used effectively. All our units accept both 'step up' (community referrals) and 'step down' (from both local and tertiary acute Trusts). The post holder will assess, diagnose and prescribe for patients with complex health needs, managing the episode of care as appropriate, as well as liaising with acute and community colleagues as required.

We have a team of site-based ANPs across our units who provide cross cover for each other as well as peer support and supervision. Clinical nursing supervision is provided by our Area Head of Nursing and Governance.

This established Advanced Nurse Practitioner role will be pivotal in developing patient care on the wards, working alongside the medical staff, ANP colleagues, Matrons and Ward Managers within the senior management team.
