The Sussex MSK Partnership (SMSKP) Central are looking to recruit an Orthotic Technician to support our growing community service.

SMSKP Central is a unique and innovative organisation that seeks to bring together the best of our local healthcare and specialist orthopaedic, pain and rheumatology knowledge to deliver quality care for all patients according to their specific needs. Central to this is the focus on identifying what truly matters to our patients and through a shared decision making approach, providing patients with the information they need to be able to make informed decisions about their healthcare journey.

We are looking to recruit an established Orthotic Technician or someone who has a desire to train to be an Orthotic Technician. If the successful candidate does not have the relevant experience, they will be supported through a competency programme to enable them to work proficiently in the role. The role of an Orthotic Technician is busy and varied with the primary focus being to manufacture a variety of high quality foot orthoses primarily within the lower limb team. The post holder will work closely with the existing Orthotic Technician who has vast experience in this field and with foot and ankle Advanced Practitioner Clinicians and MSK Podiatrists. The wider MSK team consists of specialists from a range of professional backgrounds including Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, Occupational Therapists, Podiatrists, Nurses and Specialist Consultants.
