The Group Brand team are responsible for the brand strategy at Legal & General and manage the resources to meet agreed Group Brand objectives, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of the brand and protecting our existing brand equity.  

Driving engaging communication strategies that resonate with target audiences to strengthen and build L&G’s brand reputation, the Group Brand team’s work extends to every department and geographic location. 

Our work brings the brand to life at every level of our organisation: advising, leading, guiding marketing, collaborating and demonstrating brand values through everyday brand interactions.

Job Duties

Purpose of the role:

Key responsibilities:

  • To complete the Level 3 Digital Marketer Apprenticeship Programme, gaining experience and knowledge of a Social Media Executive role.
  • This role is to provide social media support to the Group brand team, as well as assist on specific brand-related projects and on-going activities.
  • Successfully complete all modules, project work and case studies of the Digital Marketer Programme.
  • Social media delivery, supporting the implementation of the social media strategy. Including liaising with internal colleagues and external agencies to support success of campaigns
  • Social media data and analytics to run regular social media reporting and analytics / download data to support reporting
  • Community management - oversee daily community and moderation activity, assigning customer queries to the right teams, while flagging issues to relevant colleagues in line with TCF accountabilities
  • Research and insight, provides insight and research to support the evolution of the social media strategy, to maximise customer loyalty and customer experience
  • Assist the social media team in general administration tasks such as budget and invoice management, room booking, tool renewals, diary management, updating departmental spreadsheets and presentations, organise meetings / take minutes and manage the team’s group mailbox. Raise purchase orders and process invoices
  • Govern the use of social media guidelines working with Group social media manager & colleagues
  • Spend 20% of your working time on formal training with our apprenticeship training provider including live interactive distance learning, face to face classroom based days, online learning, project work and case studies (working towards your portfolio for End Point Assessment)
  • Trainer led Face to Face Delivery modules (3 x 5 days) and all Live Interactive Distance Learning sessions dates would be agreed before the start of the programme. This is subject to alterations.
  • Skills Required

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

Entry requirements:

  • Working understanding of social media & communications and a general interest in this area
  • Practical experience with social media and the tools used to create and manage campaigns
  • Ability to manage multiple projects: good organisational skills
  • Establish effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate clearly and confidently
  • A pride in flawless attention to detail
  • A strong team player
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades A-C including Maths and English.
