Senior PCB Designer
Senior PCB Designer required at a manufacturing company in Eastbourne, East Sussex, who specialise in innovative compressors, vacuum solutions, generators, pumps, power tools and assembly systems.

- £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience
- 37.5 hour per week contract

- Producing PCB layouts which will satisfy the requirements of both the mechanical and electronic designers and the manufacturability requirements of the Product company.
- Selecting suitable technologies for the project whilst ensuring that target Product costs are met.
- Performing validation and verification activities on completed PCB Layouts prior to manufacture capturing layer stack analysis and isolation checks as an example.
- Accountable for your own designs and be able to reasonably argue decisions made within the design and will be able to influence the team to approve those designs.
- Ensuring that agreed schedules and deliverables are met to ensure that the assigned New Product Development projects deliver the specified product to the Product Company to agreed time scales and budgets.
- Degree in Engineering Discipline (lower qualification with more experience will be considered.)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a PCB Designer within the Analogue and Digital arena.
- Experienced in thro hole, multi-layer and double-sided assembly technology.
- Experienced in the design of high-speed impedance matched PCB Layouts.
- Familiarity with PCB EMC techniques (coupling, shielding, filtering etc.).
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to use a high end cad system to design PCA‘s and produce an Engineering Output Package for manufacturing.
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to design using cost effective methods of manufacturing and production.
- Must have a good knowledge of IPC Specifications.
- Must have experience in an electronics assembly environment and a good knowledge of mechanical design and manufacturing.
